The Sun, Carshalton

We have just moved to Carshalton and having read some reviews on here we were not 100% sure about coming to the Sun. I have never written a pub review before - with small children it�s not top of my list of priorities! Any concerns we had were uncalled for as we all had a great day and felt compelled to let other families know our view.

My husband went in for a drink this week and to look at the menu and was impressed so we decided to try out our luck for Sunday Lunch. The place was packed so we sat in the garden as most tables were reserved. What can I say - the staff were great, friendly and attentive making us feel really welcome. Our children loved the sandpit and colouring and the food was top notch.

We did have to wait a while but were told that it would be well over half an hour for food as it was super busy. To be honest the children were having so much fun we didn�t notice the wait. In my opinion it's well worth it when your getting fresh food not microwaved frozen rubbish which is often dished out particularly for children.

We would 100% recommend the Sun and look forward to trying the rest of the pubs in the village if the standard here is anything to go by.
