The John Gilbert, Worsley

We visited the John Gilbert in Worsley over the first bank holiday weekend in May 2012 and I feel I must tell all about our experience.

When we orded our first round of drinks at the bar I found the young barman to be abrupt but put this down to his young age, it was the manager that was something else!

On ordering the second round of drinks at the bar I payed the Manager with cash and he then proceeded arrograntly to flick MY CHANGE in the tip jar behind the bar without asking, infact he didn't even look at me and then turned his back and spoke to the young barman.

I have never been so discussed in all my life I was fuming!

I didn't complain to him as we were waiting for our meals and you never know.

The food was also poor really being served luke warm and coming in spurts and the waitress who had to be called everytime we wanted service, I say service but it was poor and without a smile miserable infact, her opening line was "what do you want"

Searching the internet it seems we were not alone with our bad experience.

With fifty pubs a week closing maybe the staff at the John Gilbert prefer to join the 2 million+ unemployed.

Anyway Peeps spend your money elsewhere.
