The Curlew, South Woodham Ferrers

The new landlords, Dale and Krissie are doing a great job resurrecting this great neighbourhood pub.
The Sunday Night Pop Quiz is still very popular, there's Sky Sports, an active pool team, and the bar snacks look really tasty.
Most importantly, they keep a good pint, and there's always a warm welcome.
What else would you want from a local?

Regular live bands and a seriously comprehensive food menu.

A great place for a Friday evening or Saturday lunchtime.

Where is johnmaka coming from? More to the point where is he drinking? It certainly isn't The Curlew I frequent.

Okay, so it's taken the new team a while to settle in, but if Johnmaka had attended the Thursday quizzes recently he would know that they were very poorly attended, and so probably aren't missed that much. The Sunday quizzes remain legendary and as popular as ever.

As it is The Curlew is a friendly neighbourhood local, with excellent beers and lagers, great grub and a bunch of (non-alcopop drinking) locals.
