The Victoria, Surbiton

What ruined my visit to this pub tonight was the attitude of the barman or bar manager in the blue shirt and balding hair. I ordered two pints of Staropramen (OK I shouldn't be ordering this but it's nice and wow it's �3.55 a pint). One of the pints was well below the marked pint line on the glass. So I asked for a top up. Bloke behind the bar says 'leave it a few minutes and the level will go up above the pint mark and it's too fizzy to pour properly anyway'. So my friend and I watched the pint, and it did go up a weeeee bit but still well below the pint mark. We were sold a duff short pint. I don't expect to be sold a short pint from a major London brewery but more importantly I don't expect that kind of attitude and amateurish behaviour. I'll still go to the pub and drink there because I like it but for the sake of a 5 second top up! Bad publicity is never any good. Someone should have a word with him. If you get this situation, just insist that they top it up. If he won't just ask another person behind the bar. They have to by law. Cheapskates! Hence a low rating
