The Crown, Islington

me and the missus happened to be Islington over the weekend - crowds, heat, noise, etc. We wisely ducked off Upper Street to seek some fresh air and stumbled across the Crown. In we dived seeking shade, refuge and a cool beer. Once the thirst was quenched (Honey Dew for me, Europ*ss for the lady friend) - hunger struck. Thankfully the helpful bar and kitchen staff were on hand to guide me through the large menu (I recommend the burger). In the end we stayed all afternoon and all night. Throughly recommended - well presented bar, friendly staff and nosh to satisfy all tastes!
