The White Horse, Holtye

Recently visited this pub, I have visited this pub various time over the years and with generally good experience. The location of this pub is very good if you like country pubs and are happy not to drink of have someone else teetotal. I eat out 3-4 time a week both here in the UK and aboard, I am also a competent chief and consider myself educated in food

The choice of beers is OK but not CAMRA moment. The inside of the pub is nicely laid out with a separate bar and restaurant, with some attention to detail.

I am a foody sort of person and the menu price in my opinion is very expensive (main couse �10-17), the menu is like taking a step back in time of the 70-80�s, �Galoping Gourmet� rich and over pompous, the choice of ingredients of very poor quality.

The food we had was very over cooked, tasteless and I chose to make my feeling known to the Land lord and land lady. I was confronted with hostility and generally felt they were not interested and told to F***** off. Which I did, unfortunately I did pay. Also one of the lads in the bar also decided to have a go with abuse too.

In summary, good somewhere else save yourself the disappointment.
