Attended a Christmas dinner with 20 work colleagues today, & in my opinion the food tasted processed and the service very poor.
Once the first few plates were served (Turkey & trimmings mainly), there was a wait of approx 15-20 minutes before everybody had been served.
Several people were served with roast spuds which were still raw inside - so instead they were offered chips because �it would take an hour to parboil the next batch of potatoes�. Turkey (processed, not carved), sprouts, gravy � and chips. Not good for �16.95.
It was explained that the roasties were raw because we had changed our booking, so chef hadn�t known how many to cater for. I guess the last minute panic presumably meant that chef was allowing uncooked food to leave the kitchen?
True, we had changed the booking � but this was a week beforehand, so chef ought to have been able to react to this. Strangely, the front of house staff knew exactly how many to cater for, because they had laid the correct they number of place settings at our table � but maybe hadn�t communicated this to chef.
In summary � probably ok for a drink but best avoided for eating in my opinion.
