The Barley Mow, Winchfield

After a nice Sunday drive around the countryside, me and my boyfriend decided to stop here for lunch - we had stopped at a few other pubs in the area but did not like the menus.

The menu is gourmet pub grub, from wraps and jacket potatoes to steaks and sunday roasts. There are also specials boards and a board on the bar that lets you know things such as soup of the day, fish of the day etc.

I had fish and chips which was battered haddock served with nice thick cut chips and a very nice salad. My boyfriend had Thai red chicken curry with rice, poppadoms and naan bread. The food was very tasty, well presented and nice and hot and fresh looking. Each dish was about �10 each.

The staff at the pub are very friendly and give you a warm welcome.

We thoroughly enjoyed our food. We sat outside as it was a nice day and there were lots of people who were out walking or riding their bikes that had stopped. Also people with dogs and babies seemed to have a warm welcome.

Would recommend.
