The Fleur De Lys, Lowsonford

I have returned to this pub quite regularly actually. I love it! Beautiful setting and a good pint. I would never eat there, though - over priced, inedible and unfriendly. Thought you must be a friend, Mario. Good luck with that!

I like the setting of this pub and if you just want a pint and a packet of crisps it's fine. The Landlady, however, is the most unfriendly, unpleasant woman I've met. i asked if we could eat at the benches set by the canal, you'd think I'd asked for her head! She was very rude in the manner she spoke to me and stated that she wasn't going to argue with me - I wasn't arguing, I only asked a question! it was very embarrassing as I had brought friends with me for lunch there after a long walk to the pub. My friends could see no reason why we couldn't eat were we liked and made the comment about the very poor customer service. To cap it all the sandwiches we had at �5 a head were awful A less than fresh hamburger bap filled with taseless pap. My beef and horseradish tasted like tinned meat - rubbery and textureless. My friends were not impressed. I probably won't return - unless i'm in the mood for an argument!
