The Old White Swan, York

I always visited this pub when I was in York especially for the football on the 'big' screen and it was always busy. Sadly no more the pub seems to have changed and the large screen tv appears to have gone. It appears to be more towards serving meals than accomodating the drinking sports fans. It was very quiet when I was in and on asking the bar person 'what happened' they just smiled and said it was new management policy. A good pub spoiled.

The Slip Inn, York

A very small pub which appeared very clean however I never got the chance to try the beer as I was asked not to eat a portion of chips, bought from the chip shop nearby, in their pub. So I left!

Lauders Bar, Inverness

A busy plain ordinary pub with pleasant staff and reasonable prices. Good starting point for a pub crawl in Inverness.
