The Mytton and Mermaid, Atcham

Once again - arrived in the middle of a wedding party. While it's not their fault, the wedding guests completely take over the relatively small bar area. Service is a little pretentious and the food does not meet expectations. I've visited many times and am normally disappointed.

The New Inn, Harborne

The steak was OK. Mine was only warm when it reached me.
The sauces were appalling - why can't blue cheese sauce be blue cheese?
The ambience was very unrelaxing with loud horrid music and irritating staff. Despite the number of staff hanging around, drinks were very slow to come. My pint glass was never full when it reached me.
The decor and furniture were of distinctly tacky taste.
Very disappointing all round. I would suggest a rethink.
