Popped over on Sunday afternoon (2ish) and it was shut. Despite the notice in the window saying it was open all day.

Is this place ever open?

The Golden Fleece, Bath

Bah, comments like the ones below put me off for ages, but I finally went there and... It's fine. Absolutely fine. Beers from the cask, big tellies for the sport, an outside garden-ish area next to the nascent Lidl's store, and a good cross-section of people. I like it.

This, the Royal Oak and the White Horse form a decent Ale Pub trio all within ten minute's walk of one another.
