The Wheatsheaf Inn, Exning

I went to the 2000 guineas meeting this weekend at Newmarket. I go every year and stay for the whole meeting. I spotted an ad in the Racing post a few weeks ago advertising this pub as opening newly refurbished b&b and thought I would give it a try, I normally stay in one of the hotels in town. I must say I was not disappointed, The pub is a fantastic little place, the staff great, the accommodation as good as any of the hotels, really tastefully decorated rooms, clean, lots of character and homely touches. The food was out of this world, all freshly cooked by their resident chef. The sunday lunch was the best I have ever had. On the sunday evening there was a live singer and the place was buzzing, I rate this 110% and will be visiting it again very shortly.
