The Half Moon, Warninglid

Four of us went there for lunch on 31st March, and found the menu somewhat restricted. My friend and I ordered 'Grilled South Coast mackerel on a bed of tomatoes and fennel, with crushed new potatoes' priced at �14.50. The dish comprised of 4 slivers of mackerel measuring approx. 70mm x 30mm, whereas I anticipated an entire 'Grilled South Coast mackerel' as the description implied. I pointed out the error to a member of staff who just smiled and carried on with her work. When I came to pay the bill I once again pointed out the discrepancy, and this member of staff agreed that the dish was misdescribed, but made no offer of restitution.
Needless to say this pub will not receive my patronage again, and I am currently in touch with Trading Standards regarding their description.
