The guy running this has made a huge effort with what was always a pretty rough, dull boozer.
Some great beers now, food is improving all the time and he sources a lot of produce from Kent and Sussex. It's a big space and must be hard to fill but there's Jazz on Sundays and a swing band on Mondays.
It's not quite there yet IMHO; the front garden could do with prettying up a bit more and if it was made more child friendly there's a huge customer base not being catered for elsewhere in SE19.
It's nice and clean, it just lacks that spark, a bit of atmosphere that makes it stand out from the rest.
