The Oakhill Inn, Oakhill

No longer a pooltable, darts or skittles. They're concentrating on bringing in the real ale buffs and foodies. Friendly enough pub - nice locals too. Well stocked bar, open fire. Food's lovely if a little pricey. The new owners have done a great job with their other two pubs. Give it a try.

The King's Head Inn, Coleford

Set in a beautiful area for walking, this is a local pub used by both locals and ramblers. Very friendly staff. Exceptionally clean. Good selection of guest beers. Cheddar Valley cider - go on, try it! Please don't be scared by the clientele. If you're friendly, in my experience, they'll reciprocate!
If you don't enjoy football, you'll be disappointed if there's a big match on. The match WILL be on, but you can always sit in the bar or outside.
Pool Table, Darts, Skittles, Cribbage & Shove Ha'penny and a welcoming fire on chilly days. Irish Music Weekend in September - always entertaining! A real pub.
