Apologies for delayed answer, just got back from a great time in Italy. Pub opens at 4pm Mon-Thur, 3pm Friday and 12 Sat/Sun as a rule. But,if the rugby is on we open an hour before whatever time it starts, rugby has been starting between 8am and 10am quite frequently lately, we always open and have a license to serve alcohol from 7am. All times are subject to change, especially as we other things in the pipeline for The Tup, early breakfasts, Deli offerings etc. Pop in and say hi to me sometime, always happy to meet a new face, cheers, Andy.

Hi Shaba and Jelnet, Andy here, licensee.
First Shaba, i've nothing against 18-20yr olds, and you are quite correct that people of any age, especially with drink in them, can be a right pain in the butt. The reason we have an over 21's policy here is entirely down to two criteria, 1 - I do as i'm told, it's what i'm paid to do. 2- we aim at a specific market, which unfortunately doesn't include the under 21's. Your comments here and the manner in which you have mentioned them, lead me to believe that you are a decent person and wouldn't give me an ounce of bother. Again, unfortunately, after 20yrs of managing pubs, this is not generally the case, having had more aggro from the under 21's than anyone else. I turned away about 9 last night, half of which appeared ok, the others, mouthy and scruffy, i also find that a lot with the under 21's, if you want to go out for a saturday evening, make the effort, look smart, don't wear a hat, my roof doesn't leak;-} and be polite. None of this applies to you i would imagine, but for me to change policy, the company would have to give me the go ahead anyhow. Thanks for your comments.
Jelnet - Hi. The clamping firm have not been operational on this car park for at least 6months. So, if you have been clamped within this period, i suggest you contact them. It was a mistake employing them as they were useless, and believe it or not we didnt receive a penny from them, not for want of trying, they screwed the company i work for. One thing i must say mind, common sense tells you that there is no such thing as free parking in London, yes the road belongs to the company, they pay extortionate rates for it, the taxi firm hire the car park from the company, why shouldn't they receive remuneration for it. It's not a pub car park, it's just a road adjacent to it which as i just mentioned, the company pay the rates for. Not much i can do about the fine now, but when they were here, i got the ticket cancelled of at least 90% of anyone who was clamped here, providing they approached me in a civil manner. I remember one chap who had been clamped 3 times in 3 weeks in 3 different areas, free parking, not in London. If you ever do decide to try us again, give me a call and i'll provide a meal and a bottle of wine on the house, The Tup remains a great venue, seems weird to boycott if you actually enjoyed coming here, s**t happens as they say, and it's taken over 6 months for you to mention it, time to get over it now. Have a good week.
