The Greyhound, Whitchurch on Thames

Time has moved on since my last comment and things have got a lot better. On top of the earlier mentioned upgrades, the toilets have now been done, no more smell and now hot water to wash your hands. The garden now has a lawn, is a lot bigger and new furniture. There is even an oversized chess set on one table if you want to play when drinking. Outside, has all been decorated and there is a new sign - it now looks loved. There is now a small room to the right of the pub which will soon be opened to the public - it will be called the "Snug", so that should give you an idea what it will be like. The kitchen has now been done, all that is missing is the cooker. That should be in within a couple of days, so a full menu is just around the corner. It just keeps getting better.

New landlord been in for a month, the interior has been decorated, new curtains, cushions and pictures, a 100%improvement and there are more improvements to come, i.e. toilets refurb and the beer garden being made over. When it comes to real ale, there are now usually three good, well kept ales on all the time (today London Pride, Spitfire and Old Speckled Hen - there is Doombar and Old Hookey ready to go). Other people had reported warm beer, that is rectified, the chiller for the cellar had been playing up for years - it now works well. At the moment they only do sandwiches for food but will start to do full meals when the kitchen is replaced
