The Duchess of Cambridge, Stamford Brook

I visited this pub on Sunday just gone (30th October 2011) for Sunday Lunch and a drink. When the food arrived, it was cold. We duly sent it back but the attitude of the waiting staff was more annoyed than apologetic. There was no communication as we waited a further 10 - 20 minutes for a replacement lunch. When that arrived, it was warmer (not hot) so we ate it because we were pretty hungry by this point. The 'seasonal veg' turned out to be a pile of cabbage, mashed potato and overcooked roast potatoes. Suffice to say we felt very hard done by for the �10.50 we'd spent on each meal. Sunday afternoon spoiled. Rip off. I'd have thought a newly opened pub like this would pay more attention to its customers in an effort to bring them back again in the future. We certainly won't be. I've never written a review before but my experience at the Duchess of Cambridge has left me fuming as you can tell.
