The Riverside, Saltford

The pub had been recommended to us by a friend!
The pub has just lost a key member of staff in September 2010, and it shows.
When we arrived there was some people leaving having waited 1.5 hours for their food. Refund was given for the food, but the staff did not seam to care. Then 5 minutes later the staff came out to another table of 12 and announced that the 5 steaks they had ordered could NOT be provided as they only had 3 left. This table was not happy!
Luck was on our side as we had only ordered drinks. As 4 of our party wanted steaks, we decided to phone another pub (the globe) and they had availability. We therefore drunk up and went and had a lovely meal.
This post is therefore for the poor service and lack of respect for customers. Also dont believe the menu's on the internet as they are NOT the same as at the pub. The internet menu is better!

The Royal Wessex, Templecombe

We had our wedding reception at the pub some 7 years ago, just after it changed hands. Our meals were not very good so we stopped going. However the pub has changed hands again this year and locals were sayiing it was good, so we thought we would try it again. This was in June and the atmospher has improved together with the food. Just to confirm this we are going there again tonight for a meal.
