The Enterprise, Holborn

After reading the reviews below, it appears I am not the only one who couldn't believe the cheek and rudeness of the bar man (late thirties/ early forties, balding, slim). I used to go in this pub when I was a bar school down the road, and it was a pretty good pub with potential to do a bit better. I heard it was taken over by new management a couple of years ago, and so decided to go back last week as I was in the area and feeling nostalgic. But I wish I hadn't. I had a glass of house red, which, when I took a sip, immediately thought, 'yuk, this tastes so acidic'. I am a big red wine drinker, and know what a disgusting glass of wine tastes like. At this point the pub still had a chance to redeem itself, by dealing with my complaint appropriately. So I took it back to the bar and told the aforementioned bar man it tasted horrible. He looked at me blankly, took the glass out of my hand, stuck a straw in it, pulled it out, dropped it into his mouth, shook his head, and said "this is a cabernet-merlot, that's what it's suppoed to taste like". Arrogant sod. Huh, hum, but NO IT'S NOT! So I asked if I could have a different wine and pay the difference. His response? "Yes, sure, if you want to but a whole new glass of wine". The cheek of the man. What ever happened to customer service? Appears it by-passed this man altogether. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT GOOD SERVICE. Oh yeah, and the music was alright, but WAY too loud (night club style).
