Interesting Gentlemens club type establishment with some pretty good ales for the men and a strawberry beer for the ladies or gays ( hello Graeme ). Friendly staff one of whom resembles a cheeky potato.

The Guy Fawkes Hotel, York

Good, lively old fashioned pub with an excellent selection of ales but let down
(on our visit) by the smell. Was as if someone had opened several packets of shitbiscuits.

The Bootham Tavern, York

Run of the mill boozer. Shows sky footie. On my visit the Black Sheep Ale tasted like it was fermented in a tramps rucksack.
