The Red Lion, Shepperton

It's a shame that this pub with it's excellent riverside location has little else to offer. The food in this pub has gone dramatically downhill over the last year. Be warned this was the worse food I think I have ever been served to me anywhere. The cheese ploughmans was an absolute joke, the presentation being even worse than the content. It consisted of a large chunk of cheap & tasteless cheddar, a piece of stale bread, half a brown apple, a pickled onion & one tomato! All for �5.50! The ceaser salad was just as bad, featuring a small overcooked dry piece of chicken, lettuce, dressing & around 30 large croutons to pad it out!

Complained to the Landlord, who did to his credit give us a complete refund on our food, but he did seem slightly remorseless about the whole thing.

To sum it up, we were 'insulted' by the food in this pub, be warned - do not eat here!!, go to Thames Court, The Boat House or The Kingfisher, which are all streets ahead of the food served here!
