The Compasses Inn, Ludlow

I discovered from the 1871 census records that my great grandfather, William Allum, was the inn keeper of The Compasses and my grandfather, Thomas Albert Allum, lived there at least until he was 20 according to the 1901 census.
Do you have any records of this and when the Allum family discontinued living there or are the Allum family still the Inn Keepers?
