The Northumberland Arms, Fitzrovia

I agree with Kath 100 percent. After being recommended to go there for a drink we ran out of the rain into the pub only to be stared at by the bartender and when asked about our drinks he then started putting candles out on the tables and left our drinks on the bar until he was finished. Then when our diabetic friend who had to eat some food he desperatly food in a paper shop next door and hadn't quite finished it before runing into the pub out of the rain. He was told very rude by the bartender to "Hurry up and finish that or get out". Being internation visitors to London we were horrified by the way Staff at the Northumberland treated their patrons. Obviously they do not need the busy nor warrent any. Please do yourselves a favour and Leave the Northumberland off your London Pub visits. This occured on the 20th of December 2003 at 4pm in the afternoon.
