The Royal Oak, Wootton Rivers

We finally visited the pub after driving past the sign for it for years.What a dissapointment.
The roast beef was stringy, the roast potatoes were deep fat fried not roasted. The steak and guinness pie was sorely lacking guinness and completly tasteless, the chips had been over cooked in stale oil.
As for the welcome not very hospitable considering they write on the menu card `child friendly` but certainly not baby friendly. Our 1 year old daughter recieved some disapproving looks and we weren`t even offered a highchair. We have had better food and quality service at the Harvester and better value for money.
Needless to say we won`t be going back or recommending to even our worst enemy.
