I first went in The Highbury 27 years ago and at that time was a regular every Sunday lunchtime in the lounge to read the papers and a lot of evenings too. A quiet pub, mainly because there were few customers and when I went in about three years ago after a gap of many years - it was almost deserted.

A wonderful REAL pub. I sincerely hope that the character of this place never changes in the name of "modernisation". Please only vacuum round and wipe down the tables - don't mess with anything else.
