Old Down Inn, Chilcompton

Visited last week in the afternoon whilst staying in the campsite opposite, and at first we thought it was just a hotel untill we found the bar. There were three beers on offer Taylors, Butcombe and Bass served straight from the barrel as well as Broadoak "Chedddar Valley" cider and during my stay I sampled them all and found them to be in good condition. We also dined there a couple of nights and found the food to be excellent and good value.

What made the visits even more enjoyable was the efficency and friedliness of the staff and the locals who spoke to us immeadieatly and made us feel at home. On both nights we visited the bar and resturant were busy and was very popualr with the locals. So thanks to Maxine, staff and customers.
