The Red Lion, Welwyn

Was a bit disappointed to find it had changed. It's lost it's old style country feel. Too many bright halogen lights for my liking. Some of the staff very (over?) friendly and some not so friendly. Prices are high for what you get.

The Old Star, Westminster

Good if unpersonable service, some items on the menu not available and weren't told about not having any mash or chips until the food actually arrived. This happened to several other diners over the course of our lunch. Food was actually OK. Beer was OK. Pub was cold. Toilets were all overflowing with urine. Basin was overflowing with water and the tap was broken. I wouldn't choose to go back. Definitely a "let's just take the tourists' money" type of place.
