The Tooting Tram & Social, Tooting

Great place only if you are desperate for a late drink at the weekends, as they don't charge entry. Can't remember when they close (3?) due to mucho cerveza. Mostly Polish / wannabe gangster clientele. Couldn't get in on several occasions due to police presence - rough as fcuk! Oh - and the loos are so rank that you're better off going in the alleyway.

The North Pole, Greenwich

What a place! We went for New Years Eve this year and last and had a ball! The place was transformed into 3 floors of dancing, and the atmosphere was friendly and lively. The DJ was plastered on both occasions, but that just made for a more amusing night! The drinks are a little on the pricey side: �3 for a pint of nat's pee and it was �20 to get in, but worth it. The ladies behind the bar (and indeed in front of it) were very pleasing to the eye, and we will definitely be visiting this coming New Year's Eve. Top night, not too crowded, prompt and attentive bar service, and - dare I say it - friendly bouncers!

Hoochimama's Bar Bistro, Tooting

We have been regulars here since Hoochi's opened, and while it does have it's ups and downs service-wise it's a great little bar! Every time we come in, we end up chatting to randoms and making friends. It's a very sociable, safe, friendly bar which is full of local atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit, but be flexible with the beers you choose to drink - they frequently run out of draught lager! D'oh! We need more bars like this in Tooting!!
