The Fishbourne Inn, Ryde

Called in here with the family, with the intention of a drink and then dinner when full food service started at 6pm. However, after being charged ridiculous prices for the drinks we drank up and went elsewhere for food. A pint of Staropramen, a bottle of Magners and a J2O - �11.35. Really?

The Bull, Otford

Used to be a decent pub, with good food and service, but not any more - AVOID. The food has changed beyond recognition, the beef and ale pie used to be a "proper pie" - shortcrust pastry and a decent filling - but has now become a china dish with a flimsy puff pastry lid, mostly full of air with some slop pretending to be "beef and ale" hiding in a corner at the bottom. So awful we sent it back. Oh, and don't bother asking for a children's menu as they couldn't find any - we ended up guessing what they might have, having waited for 10 minutes for them to find a menu to no avail. Bar service really bad too - one person serving with several people waiting to be served, while 2 other staff stood chatting to each other nearby. Just awful, and not a patch on how it used to be. We won't be returning, suggest you don't bother either - such a waste, given the excellent location.
