The Bar and Dining House, Islington

i hate to review negatively but this once was a nice bar worth the trip to islington - now it seems run by thugs and drug dealers - and the once nice music is now all hip hop - ugh! the short trip from stoke newington was ruined by bouncers and bad bad staff... we ended up going to living next door and it was 1000 times better... sorry

The White Hart, Stoke Newington

i am really surprised at the comment about not recommending this pub to others and [if you had been going there for three years doesn't that say somthing too?] having been a local there for some time i feel i should defend one of the best pubs and beer gardens in n16 and also perhaps all of london... a sunday here is really close to heaven when the sun is shining - brilliant djs on the weekends help too - and the food [which we've had downstairs is ok too...]and also - the prices are so reasonable - 400 seems remarkable... anyway for me and my girlfriends this is a cool place to go - no hassles from anyone and a very safe bet for a lovely night out [and when the sun is shining - step out the back door... its really wicked...
