The Montpelier, Peckham

As a regular to the Rye hotel, I was slightly reluctant to give anywhere else a whirl. I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped into the Montpelier. A welcoming pub with excellent service and very good food. A roast that could rival my Mum's!!! Food prices are reasonable (and cheaper than elsewhere) and a good variety. A clean pub (although looking forward to the ladies loos being refurbished!) friendly staff, good wine list (which is affordable) and somewhere that I am very pleased to call my local. Knowing three of the other venues owned by the same group (Rapsacallion. Sequel and The Royal Oak in Clapham) this lives up to their reputation and is well overdue in SE15. Hopefully other places will follow suit! (could someone open a few decent shops?)!!
