Arriving at 1pm for a Sunday lunch, we soon found a table and ordered from the wide ranging menu. Food was served promptly, and was of excellent quality, as were the deserts, which were twice the size (and half the price) of many similar establishments. The Myvod had quite loud "background" music, and a convivial atmospher, which meant that out hour for the lunch was very enjoyable. A bar area in the front of the pub was also busy, and all the staff we encountered were enthusiastic and friendly.
If you want a first class value Sunday lunch for two, including drinks, for less than 20, try the Myvod, Wednesbury.

The Man On The Moon, Kings Norton
Arriving at 6pm on warm Thursday evening for a meal, the pub was busy and had a convivial atmosphere. The two meals ordered, 8oz gammon plus an all day breakfast, were served prompty, were well-cooked and very tasty. The sweets were even better, chocolate cake and ice cream and fudge brownie cake and cream; both were very large portions, and well presented. In other pubs I have paid more than twice the cost for meals as here, and received only half as much food! Service from the staff was first closs, if a little slow at the bar due to the number of customers. You will find it difficult to find such excellent value food as at this M&B house, and I would certainly recommend it as worth a visit.

The Middle House Hotel, Mayfield
Arriving at 1315hrs on a Saturday for lunch, the pub supplied an excellent and well-presented meal fo all 3 of my party. The starters (fish cakes and sauces) were substantial enough to serve as a main course, and my own gammon, eggs and chips was also very tasty. We had an apple juice, Kent manufactured, which was better than the usual supermarket 1 litre packets, and the rolls and butter was also far better than average pub fare. The bill for 3 diners came to 31,15.
The Middle House is well woth trying for above average pub food, pleasant atmosphere and reasonable velue; no-one would describe the food as "inexpensive" but you are paying for a top-quality meal in very agreeable surroundings.
