The Arden Arms, Stockport

Nice traditional pub with several rooms and outside areas for smokers and sunny days. Not a fan of Robbies Unicorn but the Double Hop here is a great pint and better value for its strength/price. Like most town centre pubs it has a very varied clientele througout the day and is usually bustling and lively, a testament to its popularity in the current economic gloom. Food is excellent, try the cod and chips or steak and ale pie if it's on the menu. Lastly a mention of the staff, who I have always found friendly and efficient.
