Glad that tenorsi enjoyed his visit. Last night saw 3 youths fighting outside and graffiti has only recently been pained over (again).

The Gents reeked and the seats are in such poor condidtion that it would be wise NOT to try and sit on them. The barmaid who I believe also works in the nearby co op was rude and surly and - Im really sorry about this - looked as if a good bath wouldnt hurt her. Ive used this pub for 35 years and remember the "good old days" of Dave and Gladys when the place was superb. Its horrific now, not a patch on what it was.

Like the man says, dirty, vile beer, unpleasant clientelle with a brooding undercurrent of violence always present. On pleasant evenings you can sit outside and watch the local thugs smashing the bus stop up or shoplifting from the nearby shop.

There was a time when landlords of pubs like this were put in the village stocks, OH ! for the old days !!
