The Clifton Hotel, St John's Wood

I love this place. Great beer, never crowded (bizarrely), very attractive barstaff from Italy, Brazil, Portugal.. you name it...

It's like someoone has scooped up an old country pub in Sussex and plonked it down in Zone 2.
I told a friend who used to live in London in '95 about it and the next time I saw him he produced a tatty but intact box of matches from the place. It obviously left an impression on him too.

Great pub. The sort of place I think my next girlfriend would drink in.

Brondes Age, Kilburn

I'm with kmos on this one. Dress it up anyway you want it it still the Kilburn High Road (and not the nice bit, you know, next to Argos). Good for late night drinking and being stared at by guys with too much body hair..
