The Dovetail, Clerkenwell

Excellent pub, with a massive selection of Belgian beers and great food of the burger and sausage variety. Despite being supposedly open 7 days a week from 11am-3pm and then from 6pm, is sometimes mysteriously closed.

The Rising Sun, Smithfield

I love this pub! It's my favourite in the area. Open all weekend, great cider and choice of Sam Smith's lagers (and not too pricey), cosy seating, and they let you borrow the books!
