The Cuckfield, Wanstead
Complete and utter transformation and bears no resemblence to pre-revamp Cuckfield other than they sell beer in glasses. Super trendy (yet comfy) interior - more like an Islington pub but without the attitude. Short menu of classy pub type grub, but are feeling their way a bit. 3 handpump ales, 2 German, 1 Belgian Flemish and 1 Belgian French lager at decent prices (Schneider Weisse - �3.50). No Fosters-type garbage.
A few of the monied chavs seeping thru, but nice classy clientele in the main.
Seemingly a totally independent and private venture, this is the pub Wanstead has been screaming out for. NOW USE IT!
