The Prince of Wales, New Malden

Going to The Prince of Wales is always a treat and our last visit was no exception. Familiar with other upmarket establishments such as The Dorchester and The Ivy, we enjoy frequenting The Prince of Wales in Leafy New Malden away from the hustle and bustle of the West End.

I had the delightful mixed forest mushroom fricassee while my other half Penelope enjoyed the Salmon and Roasted artichokes in hollandaise sauce. The only complaint was the size of the portions. They were so generous, that neither of us had room for the sumptuous looking raspberry coulis on the sweet trolley.
The visit was a joy throughout, it�s the fine attention to detail that sets this venue apart from others, such as the warm welcome provided by the maitre d� and the ambient music which makes for a delightfully relaxed atmosphere. It�s rare in this day and age to find a place that has a resident piano player, let alone one so versed with the likes of Chopin and Brahms.

A fabulous evening right through to carriages.
