The Treehouse, Croydon

The building itself is tastefully decorated both in the public bar and in the club upstairs. I went down with friends a couple of weeks ago and we paid the �4 pounds to go into the club and then �14 for a round of three drinks (two beers and a glass of wine), we were the only people in there and it was 10pm. Then were rung by some other friends that were sat in the garden. My friend checked to see if we could leave and come back without paying again (and they most generously agreed). But when we went down the bouncer was most agressive saying "I've already told her your can't take your drinks into the garden." I'm sorry but is it not the same building? He then kindly offered for us to leave our drinks there to go nice and flat for our return. I said I'd drink it there because I wasn't going to come back and he then decided to insult me, by saying "bloodclatt", obviously making the assumption that because I wasn't black I wouldn't understand. Overall, nice venue if a little overpriced but needs to sort out the ignorant doorstaff.
