Beehive, Bedfont

Had heard mixed reviews about this pub, but went in one evening on a quiet week night with my partner and found the reception very welcoming. The staff were easy to talk too, the garden was immaculate with the bonus of a heated smoking area that actual works (unlike some other pubs in the area) We went back a few weeks later on a busy Saturday with a couple of friends, they had a pretty decent band on, and the place was busy, but not crowded. The guys behind the bar even recognised us from our once previous visit and asked if we'd be drinking the same that night, which I felt was a very nice touch. The beer there is pretty good, and although I personally don't drink Stella my friends commented that it was a perfect pint.
I did not get the oportunity to sample anything from the thai reseturant but my friends have been back since and said it was lucious. From the looks of the meals coming out the portions and the standards looked superb and all the plates where going back empty.

Go there on Saturday 5th Febuary 05 for a BEACH PARTY!!! lots of bikini's, alcohol, fun and a great disco for getting up and dancing! Be worned, if I see you looking miserable I will make you dance with me!

This pub used to be a right down and out and then the new landlady took over and barred at least half the pub. Now there has never been a fight, there are lots of charity events and excellent live music every Saturday. I have been going there for a few years now and there is a real mixture of users, from a group of old guys in the corner to lots of new faces who have recently turned 18. Sundays is a nice day to bring your family here and they do traditional roast dinners which are superb. It is still very quite during the week which is nice if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle but weekends are a different story! Try not to visit when big rugby matches and Football games are on as it will take you forever to get a pint! Every-one who lives in the area comes here when there is match on, but the atmosphere is fine, as evryone supprots different teams.
I would diffently recommend this pub any time as has diffently improved over the last 3 years to what it used to be!
