The Old Kings Head, Long Buckby

What can I say? Was a brilliant pub and the best in the village until a change of landlord in early 2006. The pub used to be packed with activities going on, a wide range of beers available and pleasant pub food at reasonable prices. The place is now lacking atmosphere completely, has been largely abandoned by the locals and has the aura and smell of not being cleaned. In what is presumably an attempt to keep the sinking ship afloat, food prices have been hiked and hiked: �10 routinely for a pretty average and uninspiring meal. It is common when ordering drinks to be told that what you want isn't sold anymore. Avoid it like the plague. Shame. It was so good.

The Admiral Rodney, Long Buckby

Small and smokey. The staff in there are friendly but there is clealry a small clique of regulars that visit often. The beer is good.
