The Greyhound, Tinsley Green
Thought we would give this pub a go following a refresh to the outside recently.
We ordered 2 Sunday roasts which took 30 minutes to arrive and in the time we were waiting only 1 other order left the kitchen therefore the kitchen was not swamped with orders.
When the food turned up the plates were cold, the roast potatoes were cold and the vegetables were cold. The cauliflower had black bits on it (it was obviously on the turn). The only thing that was hot was the gravy which was served separately.
The yorkshire puddings were those frozen ones which were not cooked in a hot oven so looked like a small undercooked pancake - not at all the homecooked food which the posters outside advertise.
We complained about the lack of heat and was advised that the food would be reheated. We did not fancy eating a roast that was going to be reheated as this obvioulsy meant a stint in the microwave so made a decision to leave.
A shame really as the pub obviously has some character bit I will not be going back again!
