Pelican In Her Piety, Ogmore By Sea

Total Disappointment!! Have today visited The Pelican with my family for Sunday Lunch. We thought the service was poor,as we waited nearly an hour for our meal. We thought the meals were totally overpriced @ �13.45 each for just a standard Sunday Lunch,(desserts would have been an extra �5.50 each)but to add insult to injury the beef was tough and over cooked,and the veg was pretty tasteless. We complained to our waitress when she came to clear our table and she apologised and finished clearing. We had no offer of any sort of recompence ie Coffee,Desserts or money off our bill which we were totally disgusted with.We did challenge the waitress and were told they wouldnt be offering us any discount as we ate most of our meals !!! I have worked in various pubs in my younger days and good customer care policy means complaints are taken seriously as a bad experience is often heard about by more people than a good experience. This pub is overcharging for poor quality service,poor quality food and even worse staff who dont take any notice of customers. This pub sounds likes its living on a reputation earned years ago so my advice is dont bother wasting your money here to be dissapointed as we have been. If you are looking for a FANTASTIC SUNDAY LUNCH TRY THE GLOBE INN IN GLAIS,SWANSEA. Well worth every penny.
Sounds like its about time management woke up and smelt the coffee in this establishment.
