The Old 13th Cheshire Rifleman Corps Inn, Stalybridge

Under new management, and now focussing on Real ales, particularly local beers, with Millstone's Tiger Rut on permanently, alongside at least one changing guest ale. The landlord tells me there are plans to install further handpumps as trade increases.
Live music can often be found here, as is evident by the stage, with full PA and lighting, and the pub also has an open fire in the front room.
Though it is a little off the beaten track from the town centre of Stalybridge, this does seem to be a little hidden gem worth seeking out, as it seems the only way is up for this growing little boozer

White House, Stalybridge

Absolutely brilliant pub, recently refurbished, now offering 6 cask ales, (Hydes Original is a permanent fixture with 5 constantly changing guests), all kept superbly well. Very friendly staff, spotlessly clean, a great place to relax.
This is how pubs in stalybridge should be, definitely a refreshing change to see a pub go back to it's roots, well worth seeking out if you are around, especially as it is less than a five minute walk from the renowned buffet bar.
