The Oak Inn, Ardingly

Beer! The Oak only keeps local beers on, with the ever present Harvey's Sussex always crystal clear, the landlord told me he sells 5/6 firkins of this a week so no wonder it is fresh!

Dark Star's Hophead is another local favourite which seems to make a regular appearance, and the 3rd beer is usually a seasonal ale from one of the smaller breweries.

A pretty garden and really good food, the steaks are great!

The Shepherd and Dog, Ballards Gore

Brewers Gold! literally its sold here and is liquid heaven! Along with 3 other real ales which constantly change but are always local and kept very well, i have not had a bad pint here for 6 months!

Al the manager is always happy and chatty, they serve locally sourced food of a good quality and always seem to have a constant flow of customers.

A great pub, run well and definately worth a visit.

Black Horse, Nuthurst

The Black Horse now has a 3rd real ale on (Harveys Sussex, Fullers London Pride & Dark Stars Hophead) along with a proper flat Westons scrumpy cider. Beautiful pub, had a great lunch and one too many of the Hophead's whilst sat enjoying the sun before staggering off on a long country walk home.
