Duke of Edinburgh, Shepherds Bush

I love this place. It's almost retro - if it were in Shoreditch it would be full of painfully trendy urbanites. But it's neither. The threadbare carpet and ageing furniture are countered by the loveley Irish barman and the horse racing chat. There's no real ale but then that's very Irish. Go and enjoy a working class Shepherds Bush pub before it becomes a gastropub. Don't take a girl on a date here.
