The Catcher in the Rye, Finchley

Probably Biased, since I'm a regular. Craig and Becks run a lovely Pub. Excellent food (Thai Fish cakes a must !!).

Not a vast selection of Real Ale, but they do have Thwaites Lancaster Bomber, which is my personal favourite and the best tipple in the area. Others are Directors and Adnams. Dont' drink the Lager but they have quite a variety on tap, including San Miguel, which seems to be popular. They also have a cocktail list and a nice selection of wines.

The bar staff are always friendly and good fun. The atmosphere is cosy and a great place to read the Sunday papers (if, like me, you don't want to buy your own !!).

Definitely recommended if your in the area. No Juke box or Gaming machines is a bonus. Nice place to take a Young lady for a drink !!
