The only happy barman in Wetherspoons in Epsom. I work in the worst pub in the world but at least I have fun! I know lots about alcohol but am in such a restrictive job... at least they are training me to be management :) Go spoons!

Great pub, though if you are one to complain about the speed of service in pubs such as Wetherspoons, then you will encounter the same problem here, due to normally having a maximum of two bar staff on during peak teams there can be quite a wait

I work for this pub and i used to despise working there, but since the refurb and the management has changed really enjoy my job there. I agree you cannot pick your customers which is really a shame as a lot of the customers there are scum, and you cannot put atmosphere into a pub that has no music and tv with no sound. You also can't have anything more than a limited choice of drinks. However, the pub has turned itself around in the last 6 months and is a nice place to work in. However none the less it is still a wetherspoons and that can not be helped. As a pub to go to for reasonable priced drinks and food i do recommend it. Go there on fridays and try the new fresh fish is my recommendation as it is absoloutly beautiful, and unlike most of the other food all comes in fresh and the sauces and side dishes are all prepared in the morning and as per order. The range of beers has gone up recently and even includes fruli which is an interesting choice for people with a sweet tooth.
If you ever wonder why the staff seem uninterested and perhaps moody i would suggest you put yourself in their position. Get told off for chatting to long to the customers, there is no music, and then the customers you are allowed to chat to are mainly the people from the local council estate and the reason you are chatting to them is to stop them glassing your nicer customers! That aside this pub is never going to go out of business because for some uncanny reason people love wetherspoons.
Lets face it, there is never a boring day there either with the amount of action that goes on....
